train pain

We got on the BUSY train it was so busy that we almost couldn't breath we met 2 really nice woman who chatted with us until there stop then when it got even busier two men let us in there foot room and chatted and did magic tricks with us until our stop. Then there was an announcement that someone had been hit by a train and that train was our next train so we had to walk about 17 blocks back and forth because of security. We finally made it in because mom said we were press. (kind of true since she works for a magazine) She said that because even though we had tickets to watch the inauguration, the Federal Marshalls were not letting anyone in to the Mall because it was so packed.

We watched the swearing in and part of the parade. I was really happy to be there for the whole thing. We went to lots of exhibits at the Newseum and we interviewed lots of people who worked there and people who were at the inauguration themselves. It was really fun. Right next to us when we were watching the inauguration, there were lots of press people like ABC, BBC, and CNN. We even got on TV -- it was ABC and friends have said that saw my mom and Crista on the news.

It was a really long parade and it lasted until dark, with lots of bands and crazy dancers!
I'll write some more about the Capital and the speeches later.

Bye,

Sophie
